Hello! I’m Sarah

People often think I'm kind of insane for having winter as my favourite season. But imagine standing on a mountaintop with the sun in your eyes ready to go down with a pair of newly waxed skies. Or heading home from a sweaty concert with only white silence around you, besides the tinnitus in your ears.. There's nothing better, promise!

Currently I’m working as a UX/UI Design consultant at ICA Banken. I work mainly with new features in our app and improving existing ones. Also, I was very engaged in setting up an online user panel in order to conduct user studies on which is very exiting. When I started at ICA Banken they didn’t conduct much user testing and research and I wanted to change that since it’s such an important part of UX design. I love to talk to users and see that their needs, motivations and behaviours are.

I enjoy working on a product throughout the entire life cycle; from exploration and research to prototyping and creating a pixel perfect visual experience. I always design mobile first and that is also my strength in comparison to desktop.

Previously I studied Interactive Art Direction at Hyper Island in Stockholm. My roots are in Human-Computer Interaction and Computer Science at The Royal Institute of Technology (KTH). Interaction design and prototyping (especially physical prototyping) is something that really gets me going.

Design for me doesn't only mean innovative thinking, forming ideas and being creative. It's also about understanding strategy and the importance of team work and being able to plan and execute a design process from ideation to end product.
